agencies which can assist the community with their labor rights. The focus of this year’s LRW will be “Women in the workplace”. The Consulate 

of Mexico in Philadelphia will participate with local representatives from 

the Department of Labor agencies such as the Occupational Safety and 

Health Administration (OSHA); the Wage and Hours Division (WHD); the 

Women’s Bureau, and other nonprofit organizations such as Community 

Legal Services of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Area Project in Occupational Safety and Health (PhilaPOSH), Ceiba, Congreso de Latinos Unidos 

and the Consulate of Mexico’s Consultant Attorney program.

These organizations will share information with the community about matters such as: immigrant worker’s rights; how to file complaints with OSHA 

or WHD; the right to a safe work environment; worker’s compensations; 

minimum-wage and overtime pay; applications for ITIN numbers, and the

The activities will start on August 29th at 9:00 am at the Consulate of Mexico, located at 111 South Independence Mall East Suite 310, there will also 

be activities in South Philadelphia and in Bridgeton, NJ. The invitation and

wish to obtain more information about labor issues, especially for women 

in the workplace.07
